On March 26, 2025, Nafoods Group had the honor of welcoming the delegation from the Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee to work at the Nafoods Institute of High-Tech Agricultural Research and Development, located in Tri Le Commune, Que Phong District, Nghe An Province. The delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Van De, Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee, accompanied by Mr. Nguyen Danh Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, along with leaders of relevant departments and local authorities.
During the visit, the delegation toured Nafoods Passion Fruit and Pineapple plantations, operated by Nafoods Passion Fruit JSC, a subsidiary of Nafoods Group established in Tri Le Commune, Que Phong District, since 2013. The delegation also observed firsthand the production process at Nafoods’ passion fruit seedling nursery and conducted a field survey of the pineapple plantation, part of the raw material development project in collaboration with Tuan An Co., Ltd., launched in early 2025.

At the working session, Nafoods Group representatives highlighted significant achievements in passion fruit seedling development. Nafoods currently operates a high-tech passion fruit seedling institute with an annual capacity of 10–12 million disease-free seedlings, supplying raw material regions across Vietnam and exporting to Laos. Nafoods passion fruit seedlings are distinguished by their superior quality, high survival rate, and adaptability to diverse climatic conditions, meeting the growing demands of both domestic and international markets.

Notably, Nafoods has collaborated with experts from Chung Shing National University in Taiwan to enhance seedling quality and production processes, ensuring that its passion fruit seedlings meet international standards. This initiative not only strengthens the supply of sustainable raw materials for the processing industry but also delivers substantial economic benefits to farmers and local communities.
In addition to sustainable passion fruit seedling development, Nafoods is also expanding research and raw material development for pineapple cultivation in Que Phong District and other areas in western Nghe An. The pineapple development project, a collaboration between Nafoods and Tuan An Co., Ltd., is a key initiative aimed at expanding clean agricultural production and increasing the value of Vietnam’s agricultural sector. The project focuses on cultivating high-quality pineapple varieties on suitable land in Que Phong and other western districts of Nghe An, leveraging the region’s favorable climate and soil conditions.

With a vision to establish a stable and sustainable raw material supply for the food processing industry- particularly for juices and processed pineapple products- Nafoods has implemented a high-tech pineapple farming model to enhance productivity and product quality. The project also plays a crucial role in improving local farmers’ incomes by fostering production linkages, creating jobs, and promoting sustainable economic growth in the community.

In close collaboration with local authorities in Nghe An Province, Nafoods remains committed to advancing high-tech agricultural projects, contributing to the region’s sustainable socio-economic development. Moving forward, Nafoods looks forward to continued support and partnership from relevant agencies to further expand these initiatives, creating long-term economic value for the community and the locality.
